4 Healthy Breakfast Smoothies

Get those taste buds live and kicking first thing in the morning, because it is said to be one of the most important meals of the day. The almighty breakfast is there to set us right for the day, but when it comes to preparing or even having a breakfast meal, we seem to avoid them. Are you one of the breakfast skippers? It’s easy to fall into this habit and unfortunately it then gets even easier to skip these precious important meals.

So why are breakfasts considered so important? Maybe it’s a good place to start in understanding why it is that we need them in the first place.

Breakfasts are considered important for a number of reasons, firstly, during sleep you go through an extended period of time without any food. Although our bodies run at a slower rate, we are still burning calories. Than when we wake, we are unlikely to have another meal until lunch time, now add up all those hours with no food! Could you do that on a busy day where you may be required to be on performance for work. How does it feel when you have a lack of sleep, terrible right! Well, that’s essentially what you’re doing to the body. Depriving it from it’s needed requirement, and although the fatigue for some may be unnoticeable, it would seem that you just don’t realise it.

Eating breakfasts helps to raise your metabolism longer throughout the day, this means that you’ll feel more energised and alert without the feeling of tiredness being set in for hours after you’ve woken up. And that’s something you will notice if you aren’t already rushing to the coffee machine. For individuals looking to lose weight, having a higher metabolic rate throughout the day helps to burn more calories! So it’s actually a great thing to do for effective weight loss, now that’s amazing to know! On the flip side though, skipping breakfasts may actually slow your metabolism down, which means the body will try to not burn as many calories through the day. And believe us, the body is smart to know when its feeding time.

If you skip those morning meals, you’ll feel less hungry over time, due to the bodies metabolism being at a lower rate to hold onto calories, so it’s important to understand that meals aren’t going to stop you from losing weight, and that they benefit people wishing to lose weight or tone up! Just check out our organic Body Package for Toning: these are great for when we don’t have the time to make that important meal of the day.

Did you know that it can help to avoid sneaky snacking! Because lets face it, not everything we have around us tends to be the most healthiest. You’ll feel less likely to get those vending machine bars or fizzy energy drinks to carry you through to lunch time.

Now here’s 4 simple, easy breakfast smoothies you can make at home to help get you through the day the right way!
